Sheffield United co-owner Kevin McCabe says he considers entering into an agreement which saw only owner Prince Abdullah receive a 50% stake in the bar.
After a High Court judge ruled Sheffield-born McCabe should sell his share of this team to the for # 33, An bitter ownership conflict between the two finished on Monday.
The royal bought 50 percent of this then-League One team for #1 in 2013, assuring to fund the running of this club for three years.
“We all can judge what might or not have been better to do some years back,” McCabe told Sky Sports News.
“Do I regret what the arrangement entered into with Prince Abdullah in 2013? Regrettably yes, but it was entered into and we are where we are now.”
That he was revealed by mcCabe in which suggestions from either side were set forward, and Prince Abdullah met in Paris last Monday but no settlement was reached.
“When I have got a responsibility still to the fans [then] it’s to attempt to make sure that if Prince Abdullah does become the legitimate owner from the weeks and months ahead… true proprietor, that we do our upmost to direct him to make it a much better club,” he added.
McCabe, who’s invested #100m in the club above a number of decades, believes Blades director Chris Wilder will likely be”somewhat confused” by the possibility of the club being under new ownership.
“I haven’t talked to Chris as of yet,” the 71-year-old said.
“I’ve made it because I’d think he has got thinking to do so and I’d think he would be somewhat confused. But Chris and I are very good friends and we’ve exchanged text messages.”
He added:”I shall only say what I do at liaising with Chris will be for the betterment of Sheffield United Football Club.”
McCabe indicated he would contest the judgment and has 20 days left to decide whether to appeal the judgement of Monday.
“Can I have the power? Make no bones, of course I do,” he said.
The Blades published a statement on Monday saying the judgement”brings an end to the uncertainty over Sheffield United’s future possession and allows us to concentrate our full attention on the period ahead”.
