Celtic have completed the signing of Manchester City defender Jeremie Frimpong.
Frimpong, 18, is a who can also play as a left-sided midfielder.
The Dutch-born guardian was in the childhood program of City for three decades and was a part of the side that touched the quarter-finals of their EFL Trophy season.
“It feels amazing to have united Celtic. What a gigantic club to be part of,” he told the club website.
“I am just lucky to have been picked and I am thankful for everything. I am just happy to be here and show the fans everything I’ve got and then I want to have on the pitch.
“I’m excited about training with my brand newest team-mates and getting to understand them. They’ve got more experience than me, so I’m hoping they will be able to help me as an individual player.
“I began going on YouTube to observe Celtic, and if they had been about TV, I watched the matches. I watched Sunday’s game. What a game! Celtic deserved to win and were brilliant.
“Now I can not wait to play Celtic Park in front of the fans. Hopefully when I put on the pitch and also then do something good, I’ll hear the sound for me personally.”
The Premiership champions have completed the signing up of senior left-back Greg Taylor out of Kilmarnock to get an undisclosed fee to get a four-year contract.
Cetlic have completed deals for Bolton’s 18-year-old Luca Connell and Southampton youngster Jonathan Afolabi since Neil Lennon continues to build to the future.
