South Africa stopped Japan’s dream World Cup run to get to the.

The Springboks will now play Wales at the semi-final on Sunday, 27 October, with the winner facing England or New Zealand in the final.

Chants of”Japan” continued right up until the last whistle, once the players fell to their knees and the crowd got to their feet to show their admiration for what their group had done.
As the Springboks thanked the lovers, Even the Japan players formed a circle around the area, tears running down cheeks. Western lovers discovered their voice to present their team one final roar until they left the pitch, although hearts were broken in Tokyo.
South Africa captain Siya Kolisi:”It had been just what I expected. We knew what they were going to bring today and it took a lot out of us to keep on fighting. We floor it out in the front of this crowd that was gorgeous and fought.
“We understood how fast they could play the game, they play with a style that is daring and did not shy away from it now. We pride ourselves in hard work in defence.”
Japan captain Michael Leitch:”Rugby is all about producing moments and shooting opportunities. We had a few opportunities to capitalise on but sadly South Africa kicked out us.
“Congratulations to the South African team, they played with their A game played it very well.
“I’m tremendously proud of what this group have done. To signify the countries and Asia, I am sure they will be proud of us. Japan is just likely to get more powerful.”
Former England fly-half Paul Grayson on BBC Radio 5 Live:”The dream was always going to come to an end sooner or later. They have brought the country with them into the phases.
“They’ve done themselves complete credit because they play a brand of rugby which maximises every single bit of physical and psychological resource they’re capable of placing on the field. They have really been a pleasure to see.
“They have just become a group that were too big and too strong for them.”
Former Ireland international Jamie Heaslip on Radio 5 Live:”When we come back throughout the whole match there have been three or four other moments where there could have been another try. Credit to South Africa, it is 26-3, however there might easily have been another 10 or even 20 points in addition to this”
