If Mauro Icardi is fit enough to start in Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Real 25, paris Saint-Germain head trainer Thomas Tuchel is uncertain.
Has been ruled out while Brazilian Neymar remains suspended wounded together with France ahead Kylian Mbappe.
Icardi, who joined PSG to a season-long loan from Inter Milan earlier this month, he might start up front but Tuchel is unsure about his illness since the Argentine just played an hour up to now this season, coming on as a substitute in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Strasbourg.
“I don’t know just how fit he is,” Tuchel said. “I don’t understand how long that he can play, maybe he should start or maybe Eric Choupo-Moting may begin. Everybody knows we overlook a few strikers but I trust the players that I need for this game”
The champions go back by Manchester United at the round of 16 last season to the stage for the very first time because their removal.
Tuchel was eager to play down the significance of the trip of 13-time European champions Real.
“This game won’t pick everything. I would like us to play our game, harshly and play to win,” Tuchel said.
“We have put last year behind us and we are looking ahead. We have made changes, there are new players and we have gained experience.”
