Team news, key stats and predictions ahead of Norwich vs Manchester City in the Premier League
Norwich have been struck by a string of injury cases before champions Manchester City’s visit. Full-back Max Aarons (foot ) is set to get a spell out following injury on international duty with England U21s, while fellow miniature Lions defender Ben Godfrey will be evaluated to a groin issue.
Goalkeeper Tim Krul (elbow) is also doubtful and on-loan Town winger Patrick Roberts is not eligible to face his parent team. Midfielders Mario Vrancic and Moritz Leitner (both elbows ) are sidelined, along with Tom Trybull (ankle), while captain Christoph Zimmermann (foot), shield Timm Klose and winger Onel Hernandez (both knee) all carry their own rehab.
City defender John Stones is fit to return after a thigh injury. He’ll choose the area of Aymeric Laporte, who has been ruled out for five to six weeks after undergoing knee surgery. Striker Gabriel Jesus (thigh) comes in contention and midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has overcome a stomach bug but Benjamin Mendy (knee) isn’t yet ready to reunite and winger Leroy Sane (knee) is a long term.

You don’t have any reason worry, aside from the harm to Aymeric Laporte and to look at Man City’s issues. Norwich are great going forward – Teemu Pukki is being talked about by everyone but Todd Cantwell has begun great. The full-backs prefer to get high, however they won’t do that against City. The Norwich defenders will probably be emptied from the side of Pep Guardiola. The fact Grant Hanley cannot get from the Scotland side tells you something.
Daniel Farke does not embrace a plan B, which I redesign – . If you ask 90 percent of Norwich fans now when they would have a 4-1 hammering trying to open up the game, or if they’d rather lose 1-0 and not have a shot on target, I believe that they would go for the former. It is not an embarrassment however they ought to go in a positive part, and that’s the way you test yourself in it. Kevin De Bruyne was excellent in Glasgow, as was Raheem Sterling within the international break, which is why I’ll proceed for this scoreline.
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 2-6 (66/1 with Sky Bet)
