Since the Scottish champions look to maintain their 100 percent start mohamed Elyounoussi will make his debut at Hamilton on Saturday.
The 25-year-old joined Celtic on a season-long loan in Southampton a month, having moved from Basel to St Mary’s the preceding summer at a # 16m change.
“He is somewhat different,” said Celtic director Neil Lennon when requested about the Norway global.
“He can play the rightoff the striker or on the left. He’s got a goal in him he is a fantastic player.
“He just adds to the quality we already have.
“With Michael (Johnston) being outside, who’s been our beginning left-sided winger, Mo has got a possibility of being in contention for a starting position.”
Lennon added:”He’s an excellent player. You never lose the ability although he lost his way somewhat. It’s around me and also my team tap into that .”
Elyounoussi was one of nine signings throughout the summer transfer window also Lennon was thrilled with their enterprise.
“You always search for much more but I’m really happy, right up until Greg came in,” said Lennon. “That was a really good piece of business from the club too.
“We knew defensively we lost some really good players in the summertime. We feel that with some of the loans that we’ve earned, there’s a hunger to get up their careers and going and to demonstrate.
“There’s been a little thinking behind this process in terms of the players we’ve earned.
“In relation to the first-team squad, I’m quite happy with the hard work which has gone in to getting the players completed.
“We have a healthy squad using ability in forward areas, good solid defenders and quality players on the ball.”
Lennon says defender Jozo Simunovic will be seeing a specialist about his knee problem and will miss the excursion to The HopeCBD Stadium together with Johnston along with Nir Bitton.
“The internationals have come back fit and well,” said Lennon. “The only absentees we’ve got are out of the fallout from the Rangers game.
“Nir will be out for three months with a hamstring strain and Mikey with a groin injury.
“Jozo gets the continuing knee problem also, so he’s seeing a professional [on Friday].
“Tom Rogic is healthy now. That is a welcome boost, a player of that quality. Kris (Ajer) is healthy so he’ll be in contention. It is good to have this power in depth.”
