Vegas Over/Under: 28.5

The Record Projection: 26-56 of fromal The Bet: Avoid but lean under
The Phoenix Suns are oozing with potential, which makes this kind of frightening bet. Even if you’re able to reasonably expect the team to complete with no more than 28 wins (and you can), you do not wish to get captured by means of a breakout from Marquese Chriss, Dragan Bender, Josh Jackson, Devin Booker or even T.J. Warren.
Individually, it is tough to anticipate huge strides from any one participant.
That’s even true of Booker, with quite a ways to go on the defensive end before he could have the worth of a top-50 contributor, no matter how many things he might be able to score in one farcical game. And yes, when you’re fouling to create extra possessions and pump up the score during a competition where the perimeter was not especially close, it qualifies as farcical. Interesting and undeniably impressive, similar to Wilt Chamberlain’s 100-point outburst, but farcical.
Collectively, however, the Suns’ ability to transcend expectations is frightful. Marginal improvement across the board could create our win projection laughably low, regardless of how tough it could be to compete in the Western Convention.
Over isn’t the bet. The smart play stays expecting just a few extra wins upon last season’s mark (24-58) as the young guys get their feet wet and the group probably explores the transaction market for Eric Bledsoe.
