As we go back for the year on the trot to the Silverado CC the Safeway hastens its best field in years that this week. It’s a course to work out what attributes matter but I want a good deal of accuracy from tee to green. Scrambling is another stat value a glance as the contours round the greens mean there will be lots of tasks throughout the week to receive greenside down and up. As lots discover these surfaces hard poa Annua greens is just another issue.
Cantlay and thomas are the two superpowers on top of the market. Both have a month off because the conclusion and it remains to be seen in what shape they arrive here. Thomas had the shape that is better although they stopped with a win but was a colour. Adam Scott has a record on Poa Annua greens and I think he isthe winner outside of the top 2 though I’m not a fan of this price. The Australian was striping it to green here weekly, which should function as a large advantage. So I hope him to get plenty of opportunities He’s long enough into the bargain. The change into Poa Annua greens must be a positive too. He also has had a few off but he is used t put offs as he takes loads of time. 5-9-5 in 3 playoff events has been an ending to a season which that seen him notch a top 20, and two tens from the Majors. It is one of those instances that I will back somebody despite the cost.

It has been a spell this past few weeks for Bud Cauley and looks overpriced this week. Even the Floridian has enjoyed some success of late night with 25 finishes coming in Wyndham, the John Deere and most recently a few weeks back . He hasn’t performed well on the greens down the decades but despite that has managed to finish 7th and made the cut all 3 looks. Forms like his have attained some success here down the years although he isn’t the most reliable and still get off the mark on tour. Ranks 15th in the field in Strokes obtained at Silverado and also worth a punt at 70/1.

Harold Varner has threatened a triumph this year from the Northern Trust and that I expect to land one of these’less significant’ events. Varner won the PGA that a couple of years ago but has failed to match those heroics. He comes with assurance although Just one top is a disappointment only by means of the top 20 in the Grenbrier time. He profits shots in all sections here over the previous four decades which has included two top 20 finishes and four out of four. An energetic runner and worth a soda at 70s. Sungjae Im really is a mighty tempting proposal this week but I prefer Scott . Of others Brandt Snedeker, Mark Hubbard and Chesson Hadley were near creating my staking plan.
